The workshop will focus on such issues as the production and marketing of sunflowers as well as risk management. The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, 2001 from 10:00am – 2:30 pm. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Executive Center, Windsor Room I. Producers interested in sunflower production are
invited to attend the workshop. Please

The Jefferson Institute, a non-profit agricultural research and
education center, helps Midwest producers discover opportunities
available with crop alternatives. Staff
from the Jefferson Institute will be on hand to answer questions about
sunflowers and other alternative crops.
"Sunflower production is a unique opportunity for Missouri producers," states Dr. Robert Myers, executive director of the Jefferson Institute. "We have strong in-state markets for sunflowers, new varieties are available, and government price support exists through sunflower LDP payments.
