Bringing the Lake to Life: 10,000 fish arrive at Jefferson Farm & Gardens

4800 New Haven Road, one mile east of U.S. Highway 63

WHAT: After one year of work to transform a former pasture into a 67-acre educational farm, the Jefferson Institute is stocking its newly created 7-acre lake with 10,000 fish donated by Osage Catfisheries, Inc. in Osage Beach.

WHY: Mid-Missourians love to fish! Using Missouri Department of Conservation guidelines, the Institute is stocking fathead minnows, bluegill, sunfish and catfish this month. Bass will be added in the fall.
